Hi, we have decided to order a new sahara because we can't seem to find the one we want, on any lots. My question is, what gear ratio (3.21 or 3.73) would you recommend for the 12? It's going to be my wifes dd, but we live in the boonys, so there can be alot of muddy roads and heavy snow to drive through. We also may pull a small trailer once in awhile. Does the 3.21 do okay now with the new engine? and is the milage really much better than with the lower ratio?

p.s It will be an auto.

If you can get 4.11 at the same price take that, if not the go with the 3.73. Thoses are a little lower and when it comes to slow power the lower the better to a point. Later on you may want to put some larger tires and do some offroading and low 1st gear is nice in the trails. As far as fuel mileage you won't see any difference between a 3.73 and 4.11. Also u say u may want to pull a trailer that's another reason for a lower gear ratio.

 

I believe 3.21 is standard and the only option is to go 3.73. It's only about $75 so I think we'll go with the 3.73
