Has anyone link'd a tamper switch to the stock alarm on a JK 2013?

Is such a thing possible?

There should already be a switch under the hood with the factory alarm. looks like a door switch. My 08 has it...

 

My 08 has the same 'pin switch' under the hood, nothing to do with the factory alarm, rather a inter-lock kill switch for those with remote start.

Try it, arm your doors, and open the hood...nothing but the sound of you lifting the hood.

I guess an additional PIN switch could be wired in as another trigger point, not sure if the stock system has another input....wonder if it could be placed in series of another trigger, like the door or tail gate perhaps.

 

Hmm thats interesting.. What is the purpose of a pin switch for the hood with remote start as a kill switch?

 

My '08 Sahara doesn't have a pin switch under the hood. Maybe I got the cheap model.

 

If you have remote start, the hood kill switch is to prevent the vehicle accidentally being started while someone is working on it.

I have a 2010 Wrangler Unl. under hood switch sets off alarm....Horn and the like!

 

if you're worried about security, why not buy a set of locking hood latches like this...
