Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires

Re: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires
Generally lower pressure will give you better traction in snow, mud and rocks. The wider tires will give you a bigger contact patch for better flotation which is preferred in deep snow and mud where digging to the bottom will hang you up on the belly..
For best ride, traction, and even tire wear, these tires should be run at 27-30psi on a 4,500lb vehicle.

Update
Just ordered the 33" Duratracs with 17" Rugged Ridge rims. Got the 2" lift. Should be done in March at some point. Cant wait.
Already looking at LED lights!
THanks for the info. As far as a lift goes, what would you suggest. something like an AEV spacer suspension system or a more comprehensive 2.5" lift with shocks? outside of getting to some very difficult to get to fishing spots, also looking to do some moderate off-roading.(ie level 4-5 at trailfest)
Cheers,
P.S.

If you are gonna stay with factory bumpers a TeraFlex Budget Boost (spacer lift) will be fine.. If you intend on adding steel bumpers and winch go with a spring lift..

Re: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires
If I had to do it all over again, I would do 33 X 12.5" width, my preference is the wider look. If you are set on GY DT in a 12.5" width...pretty sure that puts you at their 34 X 12.5 X 17.....I want to say 315 70 17 going on memory...I might get corrected on that one.
My wheels do have a 4.75" backspace on them, and the 11.5" width gives a good 'sticky out' look....enough to cover your rear fender flares with slush as I've now learned.
Comes down to preference and what YOU use the Jeep for.
You're on the right track with a 2" lift...perfect for the tire size you are looking at, well proportion, and doesn't give that wheel well 'stuffed' look.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires
Thanks for the input. Any pics of the jeep? The 12.5" is definitely an awesome look. Not sure about spacers. Is that something that you can change? I am going with the 11.5s. I think it will suit my needs.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires
I was looking at pricing out new wheels and Dura Tracs for my jeep after my 2.5 inch lift. It's quite pricey!
Looking at Pro Comp Series 1069 wheels and LT315/70R17 Duratracs. I eyeballed close to $3000 after mounting and taxes. That sound about right? I know the wheels are a huge part of it, and replacing the rubber will be cheaper.
I am just starting to realize the hole I'm looking at digging myself into, looks like I'm gonna need to try and get a better job hah. Rock sliders go on this month, and Consession Lake this summer, tires and lift will have to wait for now.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires
Umm.. Loop found! I can downsize to a 15 inch rim and still have the same size tire 35x12.50R15, or 318/80R15 (i think) but it's alot cheaper! I was looking at the Kevlar Tires. But the rims are hard to find for it, looking at 15x9 rims.
