211 km with half tank sounds about right.

I've had mine for about 2 months now with 5000km (mountain edition as well) and it's been the same. But I have been doing very little highway driving, but when I do it goes from 14L/100km (local) to 12.1L/100km (hwy).

Gas consumption is a killer....but I knew what I was getting into and well worth the extra cost (came from a little Toyota 4cycl). Just thank the fact that it doesn't need 91 octane like some other cars do.

Has anyone ever come close to the 27mpg they advertise.

So 500 on a tank is what i should expect.

you bought a jeep! if you wanted good fuel mileage you should have bought a Prius and you could talk about saving the planet instead of driving off road and enjoying it.

I am actually quite impressed at the mileage i get with our 2010 unlimited sport. We get around
280-300k's on a 1/2 tank.Currently I've got 260km on the tripmeter and 373 on the dte. When I figure out the mileage, its 24 per imperial gallon. {i'm still old school} Its 1 1/2 months old, 4400kms, and it never really changed much so far. I do notice it makes a huge difference the way you drive. I use cruise all the time, and city driving is a killer.
The couple of bucks more per fill up is well worth it vs driving a corrolla and looking up at the Jeeps going by!!

The Mountain package does come with the 32 "M/Ts" identical to that of the Rubi, were my Sahara is rolling on the stock 32 "A/Ts". The M/Ts will eat into your MPG as they are a more agressive tread pattern with less 'rolling resistance'. Other then that we have the same Jeep.....2:71 T case, Auto, 3:73 gearing (I opted for the Limited Slip Track lock in the rear) front is open. My daily driving in lovely GTA traffic is 65KM each way.

The skinny pedal is also a key factor in MPG, keeping your foot out of it and 100Kph, seems to be that magical 2,000RPM....seems simple but it really makes BIG difference. Try it with the fuel enco calc on the dash.....and vary your speed.

I must say ever since i've purchased my Jeep, my driving habits changed drastically. Since I enjoy the drive more, i've slowed down and started to drive in a civilized manner! I agree with the 2000RPM....it's more efficient than 1500RPM (hwy driving). So 2000RPM is the the magic number!

I have a 07 Jk Unlimited x with 35's and 4.10 gears and I get about 550 to 600 kms to the tank. I installed a Cold air intake and a Banks power exhaust. The Mileage didn't really get better till I purchased a Superchips flashpaq. The restting of the tire size made all the difference. The tranny shifts at the same rpm as stock and greatly improved the mileage.

I've looked into the Superchips and others and was told in other forums I've read that they are a big waste of money. I've installed a K&N intake and put cat back duals noticed minimal fuel improvement but like the performance and sound. Pator how much of an increase did you get with the chip?
