Engine Operating Temperature
After about 5-10 minutes, my JK gets to operating temperature with the needle pointing right up the middle of the thermostat. While stopped, I can see what looks like steam coming from the front of the Jeep.
Is this just condensation from the hot engine/cool air (outside temp is about 5 degrees)?
Is this the correct temperature the engine should be at? I'm not leaking coolant but it just seems hotter than my other cars. I had a VR6 Corrado which always ran hot but was never this warm.
Thanks,
Trevor

OK, I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. Like I said, nothing is leaking but steam/smoke coming from the front of a car is often bad. Trust me, I've also got a Lada - they do that from the factory!
Please be careful on your words referring to a jeep as a car is offensive to many. In the morning when the due is out the rad has moisture on it which can cause steam to raise from the front, normal occurrence.
In my defense, I said, "front of A car", not "my car" (which would be the Jeep).
Good thing this isn't the Lada forum. My username there is 'russianretardismftw' and I regularly refer to my Niva as a POS. *rofl*
The smoke/steam comment goes back to when my Corrado almost started on fire.
