He gave me the VIN, doesn't know anything else about the status. Said he would let me know when he has a delivery date. I think that was about a week ago?

He also told me I would only get the higher incentive between the month I ordered and the month it is delivered? Kind of conflicting to what others said here.

From what I have researched and one dealer back in December told me, April is the Canadian production run. If this is the case I hope that means that all these back orders are suddenly built and pushed out by the end of April latest. Waiting for production I think means the parts have been collected for your particular vehicle and exactly that, once the plant clears and the month of April is solely for Canadian builds, they'll build them all and send them out. Only something like 40 hours to assemble one of them. How many orders for the whole of Canada can there be. Mention was made total orders for the whole country of Canada are less than for the State of California.

If that's true, and you happen to just miss one of the Canadian build month/weeks, that sucks!!
"6-8 Weeks... if you ordered yesterday, 12-14 if you order today." Lol.
I'm hoping I'll be part of these march deliveries.

That's what I've been told, and if you go back a bit in this thread someone confirms by calling the rebate line.
Seems only fair to get the largest possible rebate/s that were offered concurrently during your wait time.

That's the thing, if it is true that Canada's production allocation is April, (last one was November or December 2011), and if someone orders say 30th March, myabe they will get there's in under 30 days. Then again the dealers may have a cut off date, I think the factory closes in June for Holidays and production starts up again in July.

Autotrader.ca is a great tool to see what is going on and where. Running a quick check, there are 600 2012 Wranglers in stock across Canada. I think production for the 2012's started July last year, 600/8 call it 100 a month. All guess work, seems no ryhme or reason to how they get made and delivered. Just have to wait and see.

Sorry, I didn't mean anything between order and shipment. More like.

You order Feb, $2000 guaranteed.
You order Mar, $3000 guaranteed.

April comes around and it is $2500.
If both came in April:
Feb order would get $2500
March would get $3000

This doesn't make any sense, but it's what I was told by the sales guy.

The general idea from the dealers is you collect which ever is better, the rebate of the month you ordered, or the rebate of the month you take delivery. If you ordered in Feb and the rebate was 2000 and you take delivery in April and the rebate that month is 1500, you collect the rebate of 2000 when you ordered. Or if the rebate in April is 3000, you can collect that instead of the 2000 when you ordered in February.

However having spoken to the rebate HQ, as have others, they're pretty insistent it is any rebate inbetween. If Feb is 2000 and you ordered that month, March is 3000, and you take delivery in April and that month is 1500, you are entitled to claim March's 3000. I hammered the rep about this as the first scenario is what we are led to believe, but she insisted it is any of the months in between.

The caveat is I believe you have to have a signed PO and a deposit in place at time of ordering. Otherwise it's pretty much a non-sale and when the Jeep does come in it's actually sold to you at that time and that months rebate will be applied. Somone may want to check that. Otherwise the rep a the rebate HQ said if the dealer as a problem with understanding the rebate they are to call them for clarification.

Just phone the Jeep USA care center and don't say anything about Canada. Simply say you want to check the status of your order here is the VON or the VIN. If you go into a whole story about being in Canada and it's a Canadian order, they'll transfer you to the Canadian care center, which knows absolutely nothing. Say nothing about Canada just give the VON or VIN and by the time they find out the info, they'll then realise its a Canadian order but will have the info anyway and wil give it to you.

I have a signed order with a $2k deposit put down at time of order. So as the saying goes, talk is cheap. Does Chrysler/Jeep have anything in WRITING that I can forward on to the dealer? I never like the "he said she said" game when it comes to contracts...
