If your out and about, going to have to start ,looking at getting one put in. The axle tube is bent on my 35 and for the amount that I've paid to get the bearings replaced over the years I could have had the axle and most of a locker paid for.

Head gaskets can be a pain at times. You have the 4.0 or the 4.7?
Got my todo list done yesterday but found out the rear left caliper was locked up and has taken the rotor with it. Parts will be in this morning so now today will be replacing the caliper both rear rotors and pads.

Gave my Jeep a good once over getting it ready for inspection, the list isn't that long, but its annoying jobs to say the least...

Drivers side Wheel bearing... (can do in my sleep now...)
Rear ebrake cables, both left and right (has new shoes installed already, but still have to take them apart to install ugh!)
Front driveshaft, rebuild double cardian joint. (pressing/hammering out u joints... always a pain)
Drivers front swaybar linkage is worn out... (time to get Disco's)

I've also had on my mind installing my D44, since i have to take my brakes all apart, for the ebrake cables, why not put it all on the 44, and get that all ready to go, skip the drive shaft till i can get a beef up my front 30, (or find a high pinion with 3.73's)

I hit my milestone in the Jetta, next stop 500,000km
https://www.jeepscanada.com/attachme...ine=1329534028

I've been wrenching on it harder than my jeep since the girlfriend is driving it to school saving us a fortune compared to the Jeep... but $700 car, $40 Mass Airflow Sensor, and $20 in vacuum tubes, its running amazing... a little bit more work (thermostat, fuel filter, timing belt, and a driver side rear door, and it'll be in great shape)

850-1000km per tank for $60... that i cant complain about

Got to love volkswagens for their longevity. The mother in law has a 85 Jetta thats coming up on 350,000 and still going strong.
Double cardans...what can I say, love them cause their so forgiving on drivetrain angles but I hate working on them.
The job in Kitimat is done and I'm an unemployed bum again, so now is the time for me to find a D44 since I'll have time to install it. Decided I'm going to go with the 4.56's. To bad my 3.73's won't fit in your D44 they're still in good shape.
