yeah thats about what i figured, was the pcm swap being the trick... even then im sure i could probably trace out all the wires as necessary to bypass it... (with my electrical background anyways :cheeky4:)

I want to trade in the silver thing for the black thing LOL atleast the black thing is a Jeep (barely???)

THATS when you KNOW your having jeep withdrawls, a Compass is looking pretty good :-p

Well I don't know about boony bashing in it but I think that it would make a good rally car. But you can go get the ZJ for offroading so best of both worlds!
My electrical experience isn't that good so I'll let you do one first, either that or I'll pick up all the parts and come visit you. lol
Just have to find a campground close by that won't mind us dropping a transmission for a couple days. :)

haha well my uncle that was out in fort mac is home (he stopped in as i was doing an oil change on the grand am, drain plug was over torqued, and ended up stripping the head, had to go buy one of those do dads to get it off...) but yea has a couple acres for a camper with a view that rivals the campground, http://dalhousie.ca, the lighthouse is beside the campground, so you kinda get the view, again Quebec in the background, and almost any tool id need HAHA...

Sigh i need to pick up SOMETHING hell id settle for a old honda to beat on down the trails... i mean i just dont care... i need to get off the beaten path for abit.

she was running good before but now like new!!

What brand of rotors and pads? Looking at re-doing mine right away.

CrazyWJ242 09-22-2010 04:09 AM

i just fear a rock getting up in the rotor area and just etching the hell out of the rotors, id go larger diameter on a jeep before id go cross drilled and slotted (again stopping a heavy rig, its a wise decision)

took a look at a CJ5 today, owner would take $900 but needs so much work its not even funny... back of my mind is saying its only $900 just get it and take my time... and that makes me worry haha...

having serious jeep withdrawls, i hit some hardpacked trails in the girlfriends grand am... had to stick to the main trail, no fun stuff, and had to slow down for every rut and pothole... seriously... jeep withdrawls...

might be a year before i head to the states to pick up my ZJ... ugh

That sucks, hopefully you can find something drive worthy soon before you start getting the urge to put a lift in the g/f's car.
The CJ would be a blast though.

I received half of the Kolak exhaust system. Anxiously awaiting other half to install.
