i am new to this and am hoping someone can help me. i have a 04 gr cherokee with a 4.7 eng.and sometimes it will stall when you stop at a stop light, not all the time just once in awhile, the check eng. light does not come on .any body have any sugesstions.

 

There are quite a few different things that may cause this, besides it just being a Jeep. :)
Have you done a code check with the key and odometer yet?

 

I had a similar problem with my Jeep, at first it would stall maybe after travelling 300kms, than got worse, took it to a few shops. They could not get it fixed, so i finally took to a Dodge Dealership, and the problem was fixed...it was the CPS. I had a new fuel pump, fuel filter and the throttle body cleaned out...no problems ever since
