Quadra drive won't work!

Re: Quadra drive won't work!
I'll try that out today. The way I would put it in 4lo is if I was parked
I would put the car in N then move it from 4all in to N then down to 4lo and
Then put it in D and test it I didn't shift as I was driving.
Thanks againfor the reply

... then I think your transfer case may be broken. It may just need an overhall/adjustment...but that might cost as much or more than a new/used transfer case. If I were you, I'd have it looked at by a small mechanic shop nearby, and explain that you think the transfer case is broken. Shouldn't take too long for them to figure out, and if they can confirm that fact, then you can look at getting another t-case from either from a junkyard, or a remanufacturered one.
good luck.

good luck.

Re: Quadra drive won't work!
I believe my jeep was last serviced at Canadian Tire (previous owner), and i had gear oil in my transfercase, and it takes ATF... and just picked up a VW Beetle that had a "blown motor" or a bent valve... compression test good motor, OHHH it had a broken Catalytic converter and was blocking the exhaust...
the worst part is they never bothered to pull the check engine code, "O2 sensor lack of efficiency" seriously... if that doesn't say check the cat i dont know what does...
i wouldn't get serviced at a Canadian Tire.
Find a small shop in town, find someone that drives a 4wd vehicle and ask them to check it out for you. (like our garage, both myself and the owner are 4wd maniacs)

Call National 4WD in Calgary, they should be able to reccomend a local shop for you if they don't have a service bay themselves. Wish I was home instead of in McMurray I'd come over and help you troubleshoot it.
