Canada No spark when starting

Hi
I'm having a problem with my jeep Grand Sherokee 1998 I park it for a couple of months last week I wen't to start it an it did not I check there was no sparks (fire) . So I decide to do a tune-up replace: spark plugs, crank sensor, distributor module, wires , cup, battery. Then I tried it again and it did not start I verify the ECM on the the engine compartment and it was very hot do you guys think that it may be my problem or you probably can guide me more with this issue?

Try pulling the codes and see if it tells you anything.

Well I forgot to mention that I did plug OBD II and it gave me an error message I think that is due that it can probably read the ECM.
I did check the wires of the plug where OBD II connect just to make sure that they were not cut or rusted.
I took the ECM out and I will get it test before buying a new one I will let you know if that's my problem.

Thanks man.

You can pull the codes on a 98 by cycling the ignition off/on three or four times. It will display the codes where the odometer is. Might be a stupid question but you did check the fuses?

First things first,
did you add any fresh gas?
did you try and boost it with another vehicle?

What was the error code generated?

Snaps thanks for reminding me the 3 times ignition on off Oldfart.
Yes I did check all the fuses and wiring with a multimeter and are fine.
I will tried to get the codes manually and let you know.

Regards

Yes there is new gas in it in fact I did remove the tank to remove the old gas.
I also did test the fuel pump with direct curent and it work good.
What I did remark is that the ECM that I have remove to test when I did plug it back it seem to get hotter and this time only when it get connect like if it was shorted from inside.
