Hello everyone. I own a 2002 grand cherokee 4.0 limited wg european model of the wj (same truck more or less just left hand drive). I am coming to Canada for my 25th wedding anniversary in june this year and being a brit jeepy I want to be some buy new oil lifters for my jeep. I fitted some sealed power ones when I rebuilt my engine but they rattle like hell until oil pressure is up so any suggestions for good quality ones to take home with me would be very welcome. I realise I will have to change the cam as well but having discovered the cause of the "tick" I am quite happy to take my time and get the parts I need. I am convinced the tick is caused by the internal thermostat partially failing due to scale build up causing the engine to run too hot but not overheat. Over time the cam and lifters go bad through heat fatigue. Well if your going to join a forum you might as well come in with a bang. I may be wrong I`m not a professional by any means but when you strip an engine it gets personal.
