Idling - Voltage Issues :(
Hi guys new to the forum. Long time jeep owner.
2000 Grand Cherokee Limted straight 6 4.0.
273k. I just don’t want to say goodbye to it yet I was hoping someone might be able to help.
Jeep has check Gauges light on dash and battery gauge won’t move from 9. With the field coil wires plugged into the alternator the Jeep sounds like it’s missing when idling and worse when given gas. With the wires unplugged it idles fine and seems to run ok but doesn’t fix the voltage gauge or check gauges light. Alternator and battery are new unfortunately (waste of cash). Has anyone experienced this problem??? Or help would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Idling - Voltage Issues :(
First step check the actual voltage with a meter or better still
The body module sends the info to the dash, a scan of the obd2 computer connection might give more information
(live data)
