Default CRD maintnance

Hi guys,

I`m still playing with the idea of getting a diesel GC. There is one for sale not too far from my place and I might go look at it.

I was just wondering about the maintnance cost and intervals for CRD`s. How much should I expect to pay for oil chages and how many KMs between them. How much more expensive are parts?

Thanks

Have an 08 diesel, bought the 100,000 km maint pack when new so our oil/filter change is prepaid but the dealer charges $50.00 for mercedes oil filter and $15.00/l for synthetic diesel oil (10l)plus labour for a total of about $250.00 every 10,000km. at this time we have 2 or 3 more "free" changes and then it goes on a diet of Amsoil ( $10.00l) and an amsoil filter at about $15.00. best vehicle i ever owned, it loves cruising at 120k but it really loves 130km and it travels at these speeds getting better than 30 mpg imperial and still will set you back in your seat when you floor it to pass.

Thanks for the info.

That`s actually not so bad. A couple of my friends have Mercedes B200 and the other a Smart car and oil changes are up there $$$ wise.

harell, I would check with Chrysler on your oil, Amsoil is already a dealer warranty approved substitute on thier gas engines. Why wait if you don't have to?
