gday guys i have a 95 grand cherokee and it has developed a shudder at 90 + kph and locks up when doing tight turns i think it might be the transfer case as it has the quadra trac gearbox was wondering if anyone has any insight into this area

 

This is a common issue with the quadra trac transfer case. The viscous coupling fails with age. If left unrepaired it will destroy your front tires fairly fast. At highway speeds you can split the transfer case in half. The cheapest and best remedy is to replace the the quadra trac transfer case with a selec-trac.

 

i also have a 95 grand cherokee and i am in the process of looking for a transfer case i was told a np242j would work i really want 2wd as an option
