Default Open Circuit - Cylinder 6

Hello everyone, I have a question that has me stumped and I am hoping someone will know what i can try.. I have a code telling me that i have an open circuit on cyl 6, The wire clip that attaches to the fuel injector for cyl 6 was spliced into at one time and pigtailed back together. Will this cause too much resistance? I noticed this last week and after touching the wires my jeep started to run funny and threw the code at me. Oh and by the way, i have a 2000 XJ 4.0L
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

if its been spliced it would have to be done well to work good even if moister got in it would cause problems and even increase resistance. You can get them on line pretty cheap and if it didn't fix the problem it will elliminate future ones.
