Hello all.
I'm just looking for some input on an engine swap I am thinking about doing. I want to replace the engine (4L) in my 94 XJ and have access to a good low mileage 4L plus tranny and t-case from a 2000 XJ. Just wondering if anyone can let me know of any problems with this swap. I know the new engine has the coil pack ignition and the old one has the distributor type. Any input will help.

how many kms on the current engine?

 

The engine in my 94 xj has almost 280000km on it, smokes worse then cheech and chong and i can hear a rod and piston smacking around real good too. The newer one has about 190000km on it. Just really wondering about any wiring issues?
