i just swaped in a 4l in my cj and i used the intake and carb off of the 4.2l that came out.it was the best thing i could of done,so much easier to fix.it is a tricky swap and its not a direct bolt in but u are welcome to come check it out anytime

carbs are not the answer! they get finiky with weather change
and unless your a carb god getting them to continue to run in for example a washout on a severe angle is nearly impossable and some carbs no matter how good you are just wont work off road! fuel mileage is less etc etc

I fried another computer in the jeep again. So rigth now it is sitting in my parking lot. There is a short somewhere just dont know where. Its been about 6 or 7 months since the last one fried

one of the ways to go around the problems with a carb is to but a longer pick up on it so when on an angle it is not grabing air instead of fuel
just dont make it too long or you could pick up crap from the bottom of ur fuel bowl ( the motor wont like that)
