i just swaped in a 4l in my cj and i used the intake and carb off of the 4.2l that came out.it was the best thing i could of done,so much easier to fix.it is a tricky swap and its not a direct bolt in but u are welcome to come check it out anytime

carbs are not the answer! they get finiky with weather change
and unless your a carb god getting them to continue to run in for example a washout on a severe angle is nearly impossable and some carbs no matter how good you are just wont work off road! fuel mileage is less etc etc

just my personal opinion

Re: 4 litre intake and carb

one of the ways to go around the problems with a carb is to but a longer pick up on it so when on an angle it is not grabing air instead of fuel

just dont make it too long or you could pick up crap from the bottom of ur fuel bowl ( the motor wont like that)
