Default Resurrecting sidelined project

I've been out of off-roading way too long. I'm not usually long winded but to tell the story, I may have to be this one time. In 1993 I finished my first CJ project, which hit the road after 6 months with a new metal tub, 31s, new springs, and a mild lift. Five months later, a 300ZX doing 135kph hit it head on with my wife at the wheel and totalled it. My wife was doing the speed limit of 65 kph and survived, but with serious injuries. Has any of you seen a transverse mounted 258 before. I have pictures. That's what happens when a motor goes 6 feet in the air during a 200kph impact and plants itself back in sideways.
I purchased another CJ and worked away on it for two years when I had time. I was about 80% finished when life, work, kids etc. took over. It's been sidelined ever since.
Recently, I purchased a Liberty for my wife's daily driver. After a few miles behind the wheel, I told her it was time to finish my own Jeep. I was never crazy about the Quadratrac setup, which it has so I went on the hunt for a donor CJ. So last week I picked up an '84 rust bucket in Toronto and put it on the dolly behind the Liberty. It has a 5 speed, Dana 300 and a Dana 44 in the rear, just the combo I was looking for. So over the next while, I'll be asking lots of stupid questions. I've been out of this way too long. When I get the two together, I'll have a CJ with a 3" spring lift, fibreglass tub and fenders, BF Goodrich 33s on new out of the box 1978 aluminium turbine 15x10 rims, Rancho shocks and a Warn 8000 on the front. Wish me luck.
