I need some answers
Hello the names scott im from surrey bc.
But anyways.. im looking into buying a 4.0l 1993 jeep cherokee 5 speed... country edition. The body looks in pretty damn good condition except for a few rust dots literally like a dime big along the bumpers and side skirts. The wheel alignment, and oil was just changed. A new water pump, new tires a year ago and had tranny fixed a year ago. Inside is like mint condition. ...
But what i really want to know is how long is this jeep going to last it already has 240xxxkms on it. Are jeep parts cheaper compared to say toyotas? Are they hard to work on?
Hows modding for them? is gas milage pretty crappy or not bad? I would like to make a pretty badass 4x4 out of it.
All my buddies have toyotas and say i should get one but im leaning more to jeeps plus this jeep sounds like a good deal... anyone got some info though for me?

Re: I need some answers
Yeah the jeeps are just like a Toyota as in they last for pretty much forever... they typically average 350,000miles on the mill before they need internal motor work, seal's and rings, so getting one with higher miles isn't that much of a factor, so long as your not paying a crazy price for it.
so as long as its maintained it should still have plenty of life left in it, they are awesome 4x4's with a TON of modifications to go on them, they are super easy to work on, loads of other people know how to work on them aswell
Gas Mileage, practically non existant, theres a few simple things that can help but their like putting on an adhesive bandage when you've had your arm cut off by a skill saw...
but its not so bad when you can take every shortcut known to man...
