JK Hinge Advice
Hi All,
I have a 2009 Jk 2door Sahara. I was just considering replacing all the door and hood hinges from the factory ones to the rampage black stainless steel hinges. I've been reading a lot of mixed reviews on these so i thought i would come to you for advice. I dont want to get any rust, and i like the black look of the hinges. I've also heard the plasti dipping them would be a great option. Has anyone done this? If so how hard is it to remove all of the hinges? Is it just the torx bolts on the outside? Because the seem to be on there pretty damn tight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: JK Hinge Advice
they are just torx bolts on. I am not sure on how good the rampage hinges are, I have their bumper and am happy with it so far. Im not a fan of the plastic dip. Its a nice change but nothing that will last all that long especially on a moving part such as a hinge.
As long as you take care of your hinges and keep them oiled they last. I pull my doors and grease the pins every year. Soak the torx bolts in oil to prevent rust and so far they look good.
