Jeep issue
I have a 1997 jeep tj 2.5l auto.
While I'm driving and get to 50-60 km/hr the rpms shoot up quite rapidly.
Starts at 2500rpm then quickly jumps to about 4000 rpm then back to normal. If I reduced the gas, it's not as bad. However going up a hill it gets worst, can't decide what to do. Please help.

When was the last time you had the tranny fluid changed? If it's been awhile I'd start there. If that's not the case I would look at the bands may need to be adjusted or the speed control sensor may be going.
