94 grand cherokee

Thumbs up 94 grand cherokee

hi, new to this forum, thinking of picking up a 1994 grand cherokee with high KM's, wondering if there something i should look out for? common problems? worth purchasing with high km's (325k) has a straight 6.

Previous Jeep was '94 Cherokee (country) with the 4.0 straight 6. When the body finally died she had 495K on the odo and had passed the Ontario emissions test @ 490K. Personaly, I wouldn't be TOO worried about the mileage if you're not going to drive the cr*p out of it. If the uni-body is still good (the floors went on mine), you should be good to go. Of course check out the tranny and transfer case. Being almost 17 years old and HIGH mileage, you SHOULD get it for a really decent price. As has been said on this and other forums, the "6" is virtually bullet proof. Just my $.02.

thanks for your input, i have heard a lot of good things about straight 6's... the only some what weak point from the best of my knowledge would be the transmission. he has a list with receipts of miscellaneous parts replaced over the past while. and claims it was regularly maintained.
