Is there a place to plug in a trailer brake controller on a 2016 Jeep Cherokee North or does it have to be spliced in?

 

does it have the factory seven pin trailer connector?

 

if you count the center pin then yes it has 7 and of this means it has a plugin for the brake controller could you please instruct as to where to find this plug?

As far as I understand it, the wire from the trailer plug goes to a place under the dashboard near the steering column but I don't believe there is a place to connect the controller, that's up to you. I don't remember what colour the wire is either.. Sorry I can't be of more help.

 

Thanks for the info. I watched a video on YouTube showing installation on a jeep grand Cherokee and it showed the guy just plugging the controller into the already existing plug. Can anyone else shed some light on this? My jeep has the tow package.
