When I had my CJ, other Jeep owners always waved. Bikers do it as well. When I took
a road test in a Sahara I got the wave. Can't wait for the Rubicon.

I just joined the Jeep community and I respectfully wave as I drive past other Jeepers in my 2010 JK but so far no luck. Should I give up?

Keep waving. I find it hit and miss. My g/f waves like mad, even when she is not in the jeep.

Congrats on the new rig, looks great!! Lol Still talking about the wave lolol, remember when the YJ yuppies didn't wave at the CJ's, then the TJ yuppies didn't wave to the YJers or the CJers, now the JKers aren't waving at anyone, lol. Its just new jeepers that don't get it yet (some never do) but anyone driving around an old CJ gets it lol. When i had my first ******* cj2a i never waved at those stuck up cj2b guys lolol!!

As a newbie with the jeep community, i heard about the waves but never realized it was such a tradition until my 2nd day. Been waiving ever since. I might have an explanation however. I think the 4 dr JK opened up a new market for jeep (very positive) and people (such as I was on numerous occasions) are surprised by the wave so much that by the time we realize whats happening, we just drove by you LOL.. just a theory

I work @ the local jeep dealer and never new about the wave until after I bought my first JK, (seen it on the forums), now I tell all the owners about, trying to keep the wave going

Doesn't work, all CJ/YJ/TJ owners have the old "mindset" the new JK 4dr's look to much like a HUMMER and they refuse to wave back--

The only "wavebacks" I get are from--
