Tata abandons Nano factory
The New York Times reported on Friday, that the completion of the new Nano factory in the West Bengal state of India will not be taking place.
The troubles surrounding the Nano continue to arise as time passes by, with the release and manufacturing date being pushed further and further down the road.
The Nano is a sub-compact mini car, which came to fame due it’s pricetag which has been announced to be just shy of $2500. Reuters have however reported recently that the new sticker price of the vehicle will be $2,130 making it the least expensive vehicle ever.
Ratan Tata, the head of Tata Motors has released a statement, explaining that Tata Motors is hoping they can resolve issues with farmers, whom have been protesting against the manufacturing facility for some time now.
