Re: Looking for opinions on 2009 Jeep Wrangler X
Mileage sounds high for an 09 - I have an 03 TJ just about to roll over to 200,000k. Depends on what he's asking for it? Did you road test it on gravel/dirt road slowly and shifting from
2 wheel drive to 4 high? Don't shift to 4 low while moving Did it go in smoothly? Did you ly under it and check the frame for rust or even hole though? It is probably going to have some rust.
While underneath do you see any major oil leaks? Grab the drive shaft and turn it left to right is there allot of play? (if so this is usually a minor fix-joints shot)
Take the wheel one hand at 8 o'clock and the other at 2 and shake the wheel...if you hear or feel a cloncking sound then you probably need new joints or wheel bearings
Has it been lifted? If so then its been used in offroading. I don't know what you have in Alberta, but I'd have the title checked for any accidents the vehicle might have had or not.
Here's in Quebec we have though the gov. RDPRM (I have no idea what it stands for) but you pay a very minimum fee and the Gov gives you a scan of the Vin number
