Re: bought a qaud
T you can spend nearly 20 on a can am for sure they are brutally priced, and modding a quad is just as bad as any truck its only limited to your pocket book!

Re: bought a qaud
If memory servers, my buddy put out just over $11K for his new 600 Can Am with everything and the 800 Renegade was about $13K. As Mike mentioned the Cats are less money and by no means am I an ATV guy, but from everything I have read, the Can Am 800 is supposed to be as fast or faster then the Thunder Cat 1000, but then again, I have never seen anyone running a Thunder Cat on the trails. I have seen the 600 Can Am out perform several 650 and 700 Cats though.

Re: bought a qaud
no the T cat is top dog aint nothing touching it right now!(like everythig though time will change that ) even the renegade is getting duste by it
mostly the artic cat is not geared for top speed their original intent was farm use as a work horse
mine tops out at 100-105km/h and on the floggin balloon tires thats enough for me lol
i can get the 950cc TCAT forless than a 600 can am,
and performanc edpends on the year, the cats are generally very new in terms off 4x4 atv's and the early years especially 650 and 700's had suzuki and or kawasaki engines, in 08 cat started making their own engines and tey perform MUCH better than the old engines
regardless, im happy with my choice dollar for dollar i thiink the cat is the fox body mustang of the quad world, but to each their own i bought mine new with 3500 pound winch 5 foot plow and a tow behind 46in cut lawn mower for 9400 tax in out the door!
