Re: Where do I find a motor?
i dont think you need to buy a new motor if it just wont idle. try cleaning out the throttle body. A really good cleaner that we use in saskatchewan is called "one" im sure the Great Canadian Oil Change will have it if they dont try asking them for a Power pack cleaner. If that doesnt work then try replacing the throttle position sensor. if you really want to replace the engine though, try looking for a auto wreckers and search for a 4.0L from a 1998 Tj, the engine and transmission bolts directly up to the everything with a few modifications to the transfer case and the transmission mounts. but other than that it works great. My dad and i did the swap in my 1990 yj and i instantly saw a power increase and have had lots of fun with it so far.

Turns out it just might be the head gasket.... I found oil in the rad now and moisture in the oil. It must have just been starting to go. But I have run it a couple times now. This should be fun. :(

We shall see. Im going to clean it all up and pull it out. Then at least I will know what I have. Find any problems before they are a problem. Let the fun begin! :)
