I just got the plain YJ 1990 its in great shape, but its got the crap 4 banger with manual trans. I got given a Dodge 318 from my brother. I have small block Chevs i just rather do a Mopar swap in a jeep then use a chev. I have a 318, transfercase, and 4 speed manual trans. My question; has anyone else done a v8 swap with a dodge?? And how was it for finial drive ratio?? Help please

No Mopar swap but chevy swap not hard. But finial drive ratio ? not good on gas with 4;10 gears. But damn fun

Well What do you use for drive shafts?

I shortened front shaft and longer rear shaft using stock yj shafts. Also changed front yoke on t-case from s10 yoke to yj yoke. I used s-10 tranny and t-case bolted right up, tranny from s-10 with 4.3

Well thats not bad, but ive got a V8 so its gonna be a tighter fit then the v6

I guess i didn't say that right 4.3 drivetrain bolted to a 305.v8.. Lots of room mopar is little wider but should fit well.
