Default Rear passenger tire locking up.

When I make a turn the rear passenger tire either makes a clunk sound or locks up for a second or 2 ?
This started happening all of a sudden and there were no signs of anything starting to go worng.

Any ideas ?

Its a 1994 Jeep YJ ;)

have you tried jacking the car up and having a look at it, if it only happens when turning it would most likely be the diff, so jack it up and make sure the wheel bearings are fine, also with both rear wheels off the ground try turning the wheel by its self and also with someone turning the other wheel at the same time.

looks to be the wheel bearing being loose and as you turn the play moves the wheel to the outside, this in turn will move the drum out of the worn area making the shoes contact with the rusted outside edge and making it look like it's aplying the brakes. The situation goes back to normal when you strighten up. this can cause a clunk during the movement. dont just ask about it, have a close look, or bring it to a shop.
