If you're planning on putting anything over 31s on your jeep ever dont bother spending a penny on the Dana 35.

You can pick up cheap Ford 8.8s and do a disc conversion on them.

4 out of 5 of my Jeeps have 35's and no problems so far. The family and I wheel in the mountains, creeks and mud all the time and we're not to gentle with them. So far I've bent one (axle shaft) from my own lack of attention but other than that no problems at all. Put your disks on and don't drive beyond what your rig can handle. Slow and steady seldom breaks parts.

A ZJ with a D 35 disc brake should bolt onto your YJ.If they are both D35 and both have bolt in axles all of the brake parts should bolt on

A lot of the YJ's had interchangable parts with the XJ's maybe check some of those out.
