Default new to the jeep world

hi everyone very excited just bought my first jeep and have a few questions about putting a lift in it. Should i put in a body lift and suspension or just a suspension lift i have a 1992 jeep yj any help i can receive would be great i am planning on trying to do all the work myself any suggestions for brands of thing to buy or where to buy things would also be appreciated.

How big of a tire are you looking to run, what kind of wheeling will you be doing?
I ran a 4" Rough Country lift on my YJ with 33" tires, rode like a tank but got the job done. For a *cheaper* suspension it stayed sitting pretty level for its lifespan.

hey thanks for replying i was looking at doing exactely what you have done i was looking at the 4" rough country and 33" tires what do you mean it drove like a tank?

Well same as anything with leaf springs really just a rough ride. I honestly cant even remember how the YJ rode stock. Its bearable though, youll be happy.

you can get better shocks I run bilsteins on mine but Im still building. but Ive heard from many buy the best shock you can.
