Default I blew it up! Tehehehe

Eh der!!!

Nice place ya got here, might just stick around for awhile. Anyways, I have an 89 YJ that I've been trail riding for some time now. While it is a dedicated trail rig, it doesnt have a lot done to it - reason - GUTLESS 4 banger! This weekends little trip onto a "frozen" pond resulted in two things - cold nuts and a hole in the #3 and #4 pistons. Ops....

Regarless of that and more to the point of my question, how bad would it be to drop a 350 chevy in the ole POS? I have a complete LT1 mated to a 700R4 trans an NP203 transfercase.

Specific questions - If I do this, can I run a doubler -
- and how long are the stock *WELDED* diffs going to last?
- What other diffs to use??

Once I get a little progress up and running, I also noticed I buggered up the steering box and trac bar. Whooops.... I guess there was something in that pond besides fish-sickles.... Oh well. Will update with pictures.

What size tires are you going to use?
right now you have a d30 and a d35 and if there welded the rear would most likley go first, you dont want to go bigger than a 33" tire on stock axels, alot of people put a 8.8 ford rear axel in there jeep, they are about the same strenth as the dana 44 and is cheaper. If your a little more hardcore go with the d60 with an air locker
