hello to all, i am having trouble installing a hard top onto my 1991 Jeep YJ Saraha i recently purchased. Heres the problem, i took off the soft top completely, but when i put the hard top on, it doesnt fit on, there a black metal thing above the windshield used for the soft top and it seems to be in the way. Am i supposed to remove this? How do i remove this?

I swap out my tops every winter. The metal lip edge for the soft top on top of the windshield must be removed prior to hardtop insdtall. It is similar to the lip rails around body that secure lower part of the top.
