Default '92 YJ Electrical

Hi, I'm new to this forum and looking for any input. My 1992 YJ blower motor and radio have stopped working. Maybe other things I haven't noticed yet....any suggestions other than fuses? Heater is selected to "heat"???

You can always remove the connector from behinsd the heater control and see if you have power coming in the switch, the other thing would be the Heat/vent position, but you said Heat. I did not mention the small plastic devices know as (fuses) because you said OTHER then.
As for the radio, the can have up to 3 fuses to operate it: one in constant power, one for ignition and even one behind the radio for security. So it could be the ignition switch too. Get yourself a test light ans start probing. Good luck. Hopefully your YJ does not look like mine did when i got it (spagetti) under the dash.

Thanks CopMech.......I've now checked all fuses, opened up the dash, there's power to the switch which turns off as it should when vent is switched to cold, so I guess I'm looking at a new blower motor. Was hoping to avoid that.....a nasty job on a '92 YJ, but I smell winter in the air so guess now's the time!!

Good that you found it now, not in the mist of a cold morning. I had the same problem but my blower was getting lots of water from the air intake on top, now i have a (scoop) and a used motor that should get me through raining season...BC winter.
