Default 90 yj starting problem continual

Hello, have a yj - only way i can start it if it has been sitting more than a day is with eather.

I rebuilt the carb and paid close attention to the accelerator pump - also within the past year changed out the mechanical fuel pump and fuel filter.

Any ideas?

im completely baffled.

thanks

Let assume your getting fuel But just to be sure , before you start it take off the aircleaner and manuelly give it a few pumps. This just conferms the fuel didn't siphon back out and now has to prime back up again by rolling over a million times. So , we got fuel....whats left ? Igniton system. Just because you get a lifter off the spark plug wire doesn't mean it's all good to go. For the price of that stuff now I'd change it all out even just so you have a starting point to work from but I suspect this will fix it.

plugs , wires ,cap and rotor would probably help ( ignition is the least thought about system in automobiles ) but is not likely your problem . what isthe carb ? ? did you seal the little tin plates under the needles etc on the under side of the carb ? these are known for leaking and draining the carb of fuel .

Had a similar problem and it would start fine the same day but wait overnight and you are done....crank crank... Ended up being a small fuel line leak that would empty the line and suck air but no real visible leak. Something to look at.
