89 YJ ax15 mount solutions...
Hey, I'm new to this forum so I apologize if someone has already covered this topic.
Anyway, I'm rebuilding an 89 YJ sahara with a 4.2. I originally had a peugeot ba 10/5 that had a reverse gear problem. So....I opted to swap in an ax-15 also from an 89 YJ (produced later in that year). Anyway, I just wondered if anyone had any tips on the swap. ie: swapping spedo, sensor, etc... My main reason for this post is to figure out what to do about that trans mount. I've read that i can buy the advance adapters nv3550 plate http://www.advanceadapters.com/products/pn-716007/ and pretty much bolt it right in. Any other ideas???
Thanks very much!

Re: 89 YJ ax15 mount solutions...
I'm pretty sure I have all the parts I need. I was able to purchase an ax15 already mated to a np231 so I'm not worried about the output shaft problem. I just wondered if I'm overlooking something small. also, Does the ax15 have two vents like the peugeot, or just one. I've also noticed the back up sensor is located in a different place and has a different plug. Can the one from the peugeot be swapped into the ax???
