1990 YJ electricial problem?
First time poster,
Newbie, awesome site! Bought a 1990 Yj with a carbureted 4.2L a month ago but now it won't start. All I can hear is a click which sounds as though its coming from the dash (could be the starter soleniod relay switch mounted on the firewall). Battery and starter/soleniod have been out and tested, all good. The only way it will start is to jump start it. Where do I go from here? Should I be looking at starter soleniod relay switch, ignition starter switch, ignition control module?
Also, I checked grounding straps/battery terminals, yadda yadda yadda. Any/all help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1990 YJ electricial problem?
Hey im having a very similar issue with my 90 YJ as well. It's doing the same thing sort of! what i noticed is that my alternator is not charging the battery up at all. So i replaced it and have the same issue. I am now leaning towards the starter sol as the next thing in the line. Check and see if when your Jeep is running if the Batt voltage is droping or if it's charging you may have the same issue. Please let me know if you find a soloution!
Also it could be the fuseable links check the voltage at the back of the ALT on the Batt+ line
Help!
