Default Wheel Center Bore Diameter

Hey, I am trying to find 15" Steel Rims that will fit my 2014. Does anyone know off hand what minimum center bore diameter I can get away with? It's really cold here right now, I don't feel like going outside just to take a rim off to measure.

you don't say what model Jeep you have but if it's a jk or wk I don't believe 15" rims will clear the brakes.

Sorry, It's a JK. 2dr if that matters. I know it's a gamble....I have found a 15x8 set with 3" BackSpace and 3.090 Center Bore... if the Center bore is large enough I am going to order 1 just to try it. Fingers and toes crossed!

I don't know what size wheels you have on there now but if you look at the clearance you have between the front caliper and the rim it will give you an idea. I will take a look as a jk today and report back. On the wk the 17" rims only just clear the calipers by about a quarter inch.

I looked at two different jk's today. One had 17 aftermarket steel wheels and they cleared the calipers my at least an inch so 15" steel aftermarket might fit. The other had factory 17" mags and they only clear the calipers by about 3/8". I think it's going to be a suck it and see situation. Please post what you find out.

I have a Rubicon and the factory 17" Alloys clear by about 3/4 - 1 Inch. But that doesn't guarantee anything. I am hoping that a steel wheel that sits 1 3/4" further out will clear it. Doing some research I have come to learn that there is almost no clear information on fitting 15's on a 2011 or newer JK. If I can find a wheel that fits I will post all info and pics.

Does anyone know what Minimum Center Bore I can get away with??? Still in the middle of a cold spell here.

I don't know what center bore you need but most aftermarket steel wheels have very large center holes.

I know this is an old thread, but in case anyone is wondering, the wheel centre bore on the JKs is 71.5mm
