Transmission swap

Re: Transmission swap
This is possible, but not cheap. I can tell you, it will cost at least 2-3000 for parts, if u wish to do this problem free. First, these JEEPs are controlled by OBDII computers. TJs/XJs/Zjs 4.0 litre engines all use the same ECM/wiring harnesses. The only difference is the wiring harnesses, and what the ECM is programmed with (auto/stickshift/ac/antitheft so on). Mechanically, the swap is easily. Flywheel, torque converter, tranny, driveshafts, and some Tcases are different (outputs and durability, 207s and 231, AWD... that kinda thing). Tell me more specifics, and I should be able to narrow it down for you.
If you just don't want stickshift, you may be better off grabbin an OEM TJ with it already installed. But, if that is not in the cards, and you are serious... give me more specifics.
