Default TJ 2003 Clutch Pedal

Today driving to McDee's all of a sudden my clutch pedal drops to the floor (it had seemed high for the last few days) Got there by running a few stops slowly with no clutch. The switch that is attached somehow to the master cyclindar though the firewall came off. Only part we found was a sponge washer and plastic washer reattached these parts and put it back though the wall, but there is NO clip or snap to hold it in place, so the first time the pedal is lift its off again. Have check the tj 03 shop manual (CD) it doesn't tell u how to attach this or how it is attached, nor Hynes manual, so far haven't located anything to help. Even on some other 4by4 site the question has been asked but never replied to.Anyone with info, pics on this would be appreciated.

what holds the clutch master cyclindar push rod into the master cyclindar?????

Bobs boring build. - JeepForum.com

There might be some information in there, this guy did a build on his jeep. Theres alot of information in there, but there is some assembly reguarding the push rod.

Haven't been able to find many assembly or dissassembly information on this subject.

Perhaps you could get somebody to make you a thingimagig that bolts onto the front thing and stops the whatsit from falliing out. Kind of like underwear for a pushrod.

I think them terms might be a little to technical for this forum. Should try and dumb it down a little next time :)

Thanks "oldfart" your technical terms may sound like gibbish to some folks but it sure did the trick for me the job is all done and no more problem..
In P1 you can see the problem the black item comes away from the firewall with the release of the Clutch Pedal and falls out letting your pedal fall to the floor.
In P2 & 3 shows the hand made piece of metal which will attach under the bolt (this is one of the bolts ur master cylindar is attached to the firewall with) and go over the arm of the clutch pedal
P4 shows the completed job.
The pedal releases but is now stopped from going up to high and pull the black item from the out of the firewall.
