Questions, rants and opinions....
Hey all. Number the first, let me start by saying it's been awhile since I been here. My 00 TJ was offline for a long while and now that I got er back going, here I be. Just bought a 01 TJ also.
So here's my question: I bought an 8 Ball to use as a shifter ****. I need to put a thread insert in it and need to know the dimesnions of the shifter as well as the thread pitch. I was attempting to find out but have come to the conclusion that benchfitting is not my forte. I'll stick to fixing guns. So if anybody can help, awesome.
My rant will be short. If there is one thing I've learned coming to QC from AB, it's that this province hates you if you have a jacked up vehicle, are from out of province or don't conform to their view that everybody should be driving some hunk of scrap "street racer". I grew up here and never realized in my youth that it was that bad.
Lastly, the "Jeep Wave". As has been my experience in the 7 years I have owbed a Jeep is that Wranglers (CJ, YJ, TJ) wave to each other. Cherokee-style do the same amongst themselves and Liberty's are driven by old men so who cares? (Kidding) Anyhow, the issue that I'm curious about is your opinions on the new generation Jeeps (2007+) that all look like Cherokees to me. They wave to me and usually I return the courtesy but given that we have our "cliques", if you will, shouldn't they wave to others with the same body style like the rest of us? Maybe I'm wrong or being an elitist jerk but that's what I think. Of course, owning and driving TJ does put us in the "elite". XD
P.S. and by extension: *****'s, CJ's and YJ's. :D

Re: Questions, rants and opinions....
I have yet to be waved by a JK.
Sometimes I miss a TJ as they are driving past. Irregardless I try my best to wave at everyone. Of them all in the 9 yrs I've own my jeep I think i've gotten 20 or so.
So... all those driving street racers ~ I laugh at them as I go past while their stuck in the snow bank or anything more than 2 inches (48mm).
Your 8 Ball.. I understand all most every TJ is different, I've read some are metric 15mm others are 5/16. Sorry ... good luck
