Hey i have to do an oil change in my 99 TJ and i dont have a manual for it what kind of oil should i use and how much???? It is a 2.5 liter. And does anyone know of any online owners manual websites???

According to Haynes Manuel a 4 cy takes 4 quarts of oil now what kind u want to put in I wud guess 10w30. But you might want to double check with ur dealer.
Next time ur at Cdn Tire pick up a 50030 Haynes Repair Manual jeep wrangler 1987 thur 2003 all models there under $15. Look thur it while in the store and u will agree they ARE a good book to have.

10w30 is right for the Summer and 5w30 for the Winter, I have the 4.0 and It takes 5.9 liters. I will also have the FSM from Chrysler, I ordered directly from them. Part Number on the Manual is 81-370-8148.

3.8 Liters (4.0 Quarts) for the Oil ~ good luck !!

 

2.5 liter takes 3.8 L (4.0 qts.) of 10W30.
I run 5W30 without any issues when it gets into subzero temperatures to help with cold starts.
Stay away from Fram oil filters, they are a joke.
I bought three penny sized rare earth magnets and stick them on my filter to help trap anything metallic circulating around in the oil.
I couldn't find an owners manual anywhere on line and ended up paying 30 bucks for one.
You're better off to get the FSM if you plan on doing any maintenance or repairs yourself.

Not sure about the '99, but my 05 TJ with a 2.4 liter engine requires 5W30 all year
