Recently purchased 2004 tj with some concerns...

Driver's door will only lock with the key, any advice as to repair?

Unusual loud "chatter" noise from the engine compartment on a start in gear only. Once the engine is warmed up, noise disappears...any ideas?

thx

First off Welcome to the Forum

Door locking could be many things, does the lock in the handle inside move at all? Try spray some wd40 or Release-All into it and into the key entry , might just be corroded. (let it work a little) If still problem next wud suggest is remove door panel and look.

We are going to need some more info on the "chatter" noise to help identify the area it could be coming from. Does it happen when you turn off the engine or only on start up?
