Default Making Fog Lights DRL?

I thought I read online that there was a mod to do this? I want to disable the DRL from the factory headlamp, however, I don't want to lose use of my "high beam indicator". I figured re-routing them DRL to the fogs might be the easiest fix? Any suggestions? It's an 04 TJ.

Not exactly what you're looking for but this mod will let you keep your fogs on at same time as highbeams.

Fog Lights

I'm not sure what you're planning is legal. You may want to check Schedule IV, Part 2, Standard 108, Sections 44 to 65 of Transport Canada's Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations.

Motor Vehicle Safety Act (1993,*c.*16) - List of Acts - Acts and Regulations - Transport Canada

Everything is legal as long as you don't get caught.

But if you do get caught you'll end up having spent money and time doing a mod you now have to undo.

Makes no sense to me.

Just install a secondary switch and it'll be legal.

Hello
New here.
You pry the cap off the relay and stick a pice of plastic
in between the contact switch so it stays open aka no contact.

My self i see no need to do this as i'm runing real fog lights (piaa)
which point at the ground 15 feet or so off the front of the jeep.
High beems in the fog just reflect back at you and make it harder to see.

Yah, I have no idea what the OP is trying to do.
DRL's are great, why disable them??
If you want to use your fogs in the daytime, just turn them on.
If you want to use your fogs and still be able to flash someone, do the mod in my earlier post.

I don't have fogs, but if I did......
.....they would be pointed at the ground in front of the Jeep, not into someone's face

Thanks for the replies. What I am trying to do is switch my DRL to my fogs OR to my marker lights. I am installing aftermarket headlights that don't work well with the DRL, however, I would still like to keep this function...if possible.
