Canada Fender Flare Extensions??

I have been considering purchasing some larger fender flares because my tires are wider than the factory set of flares and I end up spitting a lot of dirt/slush/water.

After doing some looking around I have noticed that each set I have come across includes flares and extensions for the front wheels.

Left Front Flare
Right Front Flare
Left Rear Flare
Right Rear Flare
Left Front Fender Extension
Right Front Fender Extension

When installed are the extensions visable from the top of the flare? or just hiding below for extra support??

Probably main reason (She's not telling us) is its illegal to have ur tires sticking out more than even an inch in many provinces.Que has a nasty law and u will 99% of the time end up in a mot chk all :( I bought a set of 7" flairs from national4wd (I think it was $225 w/tax) They are even with offset rims and 12.5" wide tires still under the flairs They still throw snow and mud up to the back flair right where u are entering the jeep thrown from the front wheels
I will post in my profile under "Album" 3 pcs to show you how it goes.

The fender flare extension is the piece that goes from the rear bottom of the actual fender flare itself back to where the stock side step starts somewhere around the front of your door (the piece below the Jeep logo in the first picture).

Since it looks like Juan is missing his side steps, the extensions would probably look pretty ridiculous, and I can tell you from first hand experience, they seem to do nothing to stop slush etc from blowing all over the side of the Jeep (see second picture). Seems to be a Jeep thing we need to live with. Hope that helps.

Did you ever get new tires/wheels? You should post up a few more pics.

Also, you may want to look at the new and vastly improved 6" Bushwacker flares. Here's a post by someone many people in the Jeep world revere and listen to intently. If you ever want good advice listen to Jerry, Stu and MrBlaine.

New Bushwacker Flat flares installed, they are very cool (with pics)! - JeepForum.com

Cheers.

I do have running boards now, and I plan on taking some new pictures once the weather gets nice and I can shine up my rims!! I think I like the look of your flares better than the flat ones! Just looks more finished, and I don't really want a "bushwacker" lol.

I never did get winter tires, but I did get 2 new Nitto's for the front!!
