Explorer 8.8 into TJ

Default Explorer 8.8 into TJ

I am thinking about putting a 8.8 out of a explorer into my 2000 TJ in replace of the dana 35.I know it is popular swap.My question is most of the sites I have visited on the subject explain about a bracket kit and brake mods.Most of the sites show guys with adjustable control arms.I have a 4" short arm lift that are not adjustable.Can the swap still be done or will I have to change control arms as well?

To get your pinion axle correct you will need adjustable control arms, driveshaft and do all the mods for it to work, it's not a straight forward swap. I'd go with a ford 9" but thats just my 2cents.
