electrical questions
I have just bought my first jeep (just finished rebuilding my suzuki side kick only to have a oncoming sunday driver decide to make a left turn infront of me, ya its totalled) so now i figured that i would try my hand at a jeep.
Anyhow i picked up a 97 TJ for a fair price from a co-worker, and now i am starting to get it ready for its safety.
Besides the normal brakes, exhaust & windshield. the only major problem that the tj has is flashers. The right side works fine, the left side is another story.
with the key in the on position but engine NOT running- the left flasher works. but with the engine running ... well on the dash both left and right are flashing but the right is only half bright. out side on the front the left flasher is flashing but so are the fog lights. the back both lights are flashing.
any ideas? I have read in other posts that the jeeps are prone to bad grounds.
Oh the former owner use to have a plow with lights on the truck.
Thanks

Re: electrical questions
The first thing I would check is where the plow lights were connected into the harness. The next thing I would look at is the wiring for the daytime running lights. What happens when you put the four-ways on?

Re: electrical questions
I don't know as i was too scared to try!! lol
but I notice today that the rear lights were not using the correct filaments. I am waiting for a couple of warmer days and I will have to go nuts with the multimeter.
Is there any modules that might be giving me troubles?
